Greetings from the Rockies

This is the second post in a series. Here's the fourth one: Greetings from Kitimat (and the first one: Greetings from Canada)

Day four started off in the foothills and ended in the Rocky Mountains, with a few minor detours along the way.

I don't have many words that can do the scenery justice. Millions of  people visit Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise every year from around the world and there's a reason.

At Lake Louise, I chatted with a nice family from China and after commenting on how beautiful the lake was, they asked me if I visit "all the time". I had to sheepishly admit that it was my first time. If you've never been, go.

We left Lake Lousie and continued on our leisurely drive past one wonder after another. If you ever visit Banff, make note that the Visitors Centre is located in downtown Banff. The Banff Centre, while able to provide a gorgeous venue for performing arts, cannot offer you a map of the park. We learned that the hard way after a 30 minute drive in the wrong direction.

It's been an incredible whirlwind of a drive so far. One more day to go until Kitimat.
